Managing Director - Lindsay Yelland
Lindsay Yelland grew up on the family farm Berness near Orange in central NSW. Originally a 140 acre dairy farm in 1909, the family gradually added to the holding, increasing to 3500 acres by acquiring neighbouring parcels over the past 100 years. Lindsay credits this solid farming upbringing as shaping his down-to-earth values, including self-reliance and a respect for hard work. It was this spirit of enterprise and hard work that saw him establish Lindsay Orange Concrete Blocks with a business partner in 1992. The company made Besser blocks for the local residential and commercial building sector together with retaining walls and pavers. The company excelled and was recognised with an award for regional development (sponsored by Nescafe Big Break) and also received a Channel Ten award for small business achievement. |
